Privacy Policy

Last Updated: August 11, 2026

  • 1. Who This Applies To
Everyone who uses Kuruier: Senders and Shippers, Receivers, Travellers, Kuruier Riders, Fleet Operators and their Drivers, and visitors to this website.
  • 2. Information You Give Us
Account and identity: name, username, mobile number, email, password. Signing in with Google or Apple returns basic profile information only — never your password.
KYC documents: government identity documents and any selfie required to verify you. Mandatory for Senders, Travellers, Riders, Operators and Drivers.
Business details (Fleet Operators): legal entity name, registered address, GST number, CIN, serviceable states, vehicle registration and permit documents, and the licence and identity documents of each Driver you add.
Booking details: pickup and delivery addresses, package type, weight, dimensions, declared value, package photographs, and the Receiver’s name and phone number.
Payment details: transaction records, wallet balances and the bank details you give us for withdrawals. Card and UPI credentials go straight to our payment provider and are never stored by Kuruier.
Communications: in-app chat messages, images and voice notes, feedback and refund requests, and emails to support.
  • 3. Information We Collect Automatically
Device model and OS, app version, language, a device identifier, IP address, crash reports and feature usage.
A push notification token issued by Apple or Google.
Your device advertising identifier, for advertising measurement. On iOS we ask permission first and you may decline.
Cookies on this website, for session management and analytics.
  • 4. Location Data
We do not track your location when the app is closed.
Senders, Shippers and Travellers: location is used while you are in the app, to show nearby shipments and travellers, calculate distances and fares, and pre-fill addresses.
Kuruier Riders and Drivers: while you are on duty or on an active job, the app shares your location so bookings can be routed to riders near the pickup and so the Sender and Receiver can follow the delivery. It stops when you go off duty or complete the job.
The Sender and Receiver of an active delivery see the approximate live position of the person carrying it, and only until it is delivered.
Location points recorded against a delivery are kept with that delivery’s record so a completed job can be evidenced in a dispute. We do not build a location history outside your jobs.
  • 5. What the Other Party Sees
The person carrying your shipment sees your name, the pickup and delivery addresses, the package details, and the Receiver’s name and phone number.
You see the carrying party’s name, verification status, vehicle details where relevant, and their live location during an active delivery.
Fleet Operators see the shipment and contact details for bookings on their runs, and the details of the Drivers they add.
We never show your KYC documents, identity numbers, payment details or wallet balance to another user.
  • 6. Who Else We Share With
We do not sell your personal data. We share it with payment providers, identity verification providers, Google (maps, sign-in, aggregated analytics), Apple (sign-in), Meta (advertising measurement), Apple and Google push services, the cloud hosting and communications providers that run our infrastructure, and with advisers, insurers or authorities where the law requires it or to prevent fraud or harm.
  • 7. Analytics and Advertising
We measure app usage to improve the product, and advertising performance using the Meta SDK, which may receive events such as registration, checkout and purchase along with your advertising identifier.
On iOS you can decline tracking — the app works identically. On Android you can reset or delete your advertising ID in device settings. Marketing notifications can be turned off without affecting booking notifications.
  • 8. Device Permissions
Location, camera, photos, microphone (voice messages), contacts and notifications. Each is optional; declining one disables only the feature that needs it. For contacts, we read the contact you pick — we do not upload your address book.
  • 9. Data Security
Traffic between the app and our systems is encrypted. Payments run over our provider’s encrypted channels and we do not hold card or UPI credentials. KYC documents are stored with restricted access and opened only for verification, fraud investigation, or where the law requires it.
  • 10. Data Retention
Retained while your account is open. After deletion we remove personal data from active systems, except transaction, invoice and tax records we must keep by law, records needed for an open dispute, and records required for fraud prevention or by lawful order.
  • 11. Your Rights
Request a copy of your data; correct anything inaccurate; request deletion; withdraw a device permission at any time; opt out of marketing; complain to us and to the relevant data protection authority. Write to privacy@kuruier.com.
  • 12. User Data Deletion
You can request to delete your account and all associated personal data at any time.
How to delete your Kuruier account and data:
    1. Open the Kuruier app.
    2. Go to the Profile tab.
    3. Scroll down and tap on Delete Account.
    4. Confirm your choice. Your personal data will be removed from our systems.
Alternatively, email support@kuruier.com to request data deletion.
Deleting your account does not cancel obligations already incurred — an unpaid amount, an open dispute or a booking in progress must be settled first.
  • 13. Children
Kuruier is not for anyone under 18 and we do not knowingly collect data from children.
  • 14. Contact
